Diane Wise

     Diane’s selling experience and treating clients with the highest standards comes from owning Baby Baby Consignment Shop in downtown Northville, Michigan from 1989 until 2006. She eventually sold the business after 17 successful years, and the shop still remains on Main St. as one of the city’s favorite shopping venues.

     Diane finds that the most rewarding type of work is when a client has lost a loved one. There is always an overwhelming feeling, which directly translates to the common phrase “I  don't know where to start.”  Diane gently motivates them to keep a few keepsakes and mementos, then continues the process of helping them move forward in this emotional process.  She believes that her volunteer work at New Hope Center for Grief in Northville has been extremely beneficial while working with these clients.

     “I am better equipped when dealing with someone who is grieving because of my experience with talking to others about death.” she explained. “I never realized that this volunteer work would help me with my new business, and I am blessed that God nudged me to reach out to others.”

 

The Company 

     If there’s one outstanding detail of comparison to other companies, it’s this: Wise Estate Services does NOT charge a commission or percentage fee. The process starts with deciding what is to be sold, and then charges a flat rate quote for her services.  An average project takes roughly 10 days to prepare, price, and advertise the sale. All the money generated at the sale is given to the family. Wise has found that one to two day sales, usually held on Wednesdays and Thursdays, have proven to be very successful.

     Wise Estate Services specializes in helping seniors move into assisted living.  Other clients include empty-nesters who are downsizing and have sold their home.  She has consulted with HoarderPros, working along side Janet Kester, and helped families sort through their belongings.  

     With the right marketing and advertising on estatesales.net, Wise gets the word out to tens of thousands of potential customers. She also has a loyal customer base email list of over 2,000 members and sends out notifications and monthly newsletters to keep them updated on upcoming sales.

     “Because I take a lot of pictures and post them on the website, serious buyers come specifically for that item with cash in hand.” Wise stated. “I sell 90% of the household items, and there are just a few things left to donate.”
